Due to the lack of confidence in the overlap connection of the reinforcement and the need to increase the reliability in the structure, the engineers of Etisalat Mechanical Sahand Company designed and manufactured a coupler to be used instead of the overlap connection, so that in addition to the greater strength of the structure, a smaller amount of rebar with a higher reliability factor in Sahand company has different types of couplers that can be used in different locations. One of these cases is the structural welding coupler.
The structural welding coupler is a mechanical part of the family of couplers that makes it possible to connect the reinforcement to the metal structure. The structural welding coupler does not need preheating for welding, and for welding this coupler, the relevant instructions must be followed exactly and an operator who is qualified for welding must be used. The strength of this coupler is guaranteed in accordance with ACI 318 regulations and national building regulations by Sahand Mechanical Connections Company.
